Innovation Guelph wins CANIE Enterprise Support of the Year award

GUELPH – Innovation Guelph received the CANIE Enterprise Support of the Year Award presented by the Innovators and Entrepreneurs Foundation.

Innovation Guelph officials say they are thrilled to be recognized along with all the outstanding achievement in Canada’s entrepreneurship and innovation community and to deliver a message of resilience and hope during these challenging times.

“It is incredible to see the resilience of entrepreneurs and innovators across the country during times like this. Coming together to recognize the strength and tenacity of our community is more important than ever,” Kayla Isabelle, board chair of the Innovators and Entrepreneurs Foundation and executive director of Startup Canada, stated in a press release.

“The entrepreneurs we support have navigated this pandemic with creativity, courage and collaboration,” Innovation Guelph CEO Anne Toner Fung stated.

“Their enduring spirit and grit continue to inspire our team, as we strive to help them turn crisis into opportunity.”

The CANIE Awards celebrate and distinguish outstanding achievements in advancing Canadian entrepreneurship. They recognize innovation, inspiring stories and building and strengthening entrepreneurial mindset.

A digital grand finale was held Oct. 20 when award winners were announced.

Innovation Guelph provides mentorship and business support programs and services to help innovative enterprises start, grow and thrive.  The organization’s business acceleration programs are designed for high-potential start-ups, small to medium-sized enterprises, and women-led businesses across southern Ontario. Innovation Guelph also serves as a point of access to business support programs.
