The Guelph Wellington Health Coalition is sponsoring a public meeting and discussion at the Evergreen Seniors Centre in Guelph on Jan. 31 at 1:55pm.
A film called Escape Fire will be shown.
Guest, Dr. Lori Hasulo, and coalition chair Magee McGuire will lead and collect observations and comments to be forwarded to respective health ministries.
The film challenges the ministry as to how and why it arrives at its budget priorities.
It also suggests why the present delivery funding framework is incompatible with the principle of prevention, one of the biggest cost effective measures.
The weakening framework is susceptible to destruction of health care principles contained in the Canada Health Act, by way of court challenges, leaving delivery and care in the hands of lawyers and not parliamentary representatives.
This film would be informative for doctors, nurses and policy makers, not to mention their patients and constituents.
