Guelph teen charged with dangerous driving causing death
Crash last October took life of 18-year-old passenger
GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A Guelph teen has been charged with dangerous driving almost a year after a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of an 18-year-old passenger.
On Oct. 30, 2025 at 4pm, emergency crews responded to the collision on Eastview Road in Guelph/Eramosa.
"An 18-year-old male was pronounced deceased at the scene, and a 16-year-old male was transported to a trauma centre in Hamilton with non-life-threatening injuries," stated a Wellington County OPP press release.
On Sept. 24, police charged a 17-year-old from Guelph with dangerous driving causing death.
The accused, whose identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, is to appear in Guelph court at a later date.
