Guelph-Eramosa council paid $91,000 in 2013

Guelph-Eramosa council approved its 2013 remunerations following a report from finance director Linda Cheyne at council’s March 3 meeting.

Mayor Chris White was paid $15,324 for the year as the township’s top political representative and received $15,975 for additional meetings, for a total remuneration of $31,299, including $10,433 as a 33 per cent tax free salary allowance. White also received $4,474 for training and conference per diems, $3,180 for mileage and $29 for conference accommodation, parking and registration.

Councillors Doug Breen, John Scott, David Wolk and Corey Woods each received $10,216 in council remuneration.

Wolk was paid $3,675 for meeting attendance for a total remuneration of $13,891 with $4,630 as his 33% tax-free allowance. He also received $1,134 for training,  conference per diems, mileage, conference accommodation, parking and registration.

Scott was paid $13,891 last year, including the base councillor salary plus $2,580 for meetings with $4,605 claimed as the 33% tax-free allowance. He also received $162 for mileage.

Breen received a total remuneration of $12,991,  including his councillor pay plus meeting pay of $3,600. His 33% tax-free allowance was $4,330 and he was paid $551 for training and conference per diems, mileage and conference accommodation, parking and registration.

Woods received total remuneration of $12,796, including a tax-free  allowance of $4,265, plus $687 for training and conference per diems, mileage, conference accommodation, parking and registration.

The total payout to council was just over $91,000.
