Guelph-Eramosa council costs rise 8% in 2012

Guelph-Eramosa councillors were paid  a total of $91,771 for 2012, up eight per cent from 2011.

Mayor Chris White was paid a total of $33,923 (including $15,122 in remuneration, $14,025 for extra meetings and $4,776 in expenses), an increase of 6% from 2011.

The totals for councillors, who all received $10,081 (up 2%) in remuneration, including extra meeting and expenses, are as follows:

– Doug Breen, $12,876 (an increase of 8%);

– David Wolk, $14,178 (up 8%);

– Corey Woods, $14,214 (up 13%); and

– John Scott, $16,670 (up 9%).

Council also last week released council attendance results for 2012. According to the township document four out of five councillors had perfect attendance at regular council meetings last year (Scott  missed one meeting).
