Groups aim to normalize public breast feeding

Beginning on Oct. 30, breast feeding collaboratives in Wellington, Dufferin and Guelph are spreading awareness that breast feeding is a normal and important part of child and maternal health.

For one week, life-size cut-outs of local women nursing their children will be on display at various locations throughout Wellington County.

The breast feeding collaboratives are encouraging the public to take a selfie with a cut-out and post it on Twitter @LetsTalkParents or Facebook @LetsTalkParenting with this hashtag: #BreastfeedAnywhereWDG.

Cut-out locations

The public will have the opportunity to take a selfie with a cut-out until Nov. 6 at the following locations: Upper Grand Family Health Team (Fergus), Aboyne library, Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex, Optimum Integrative Health Centre, Zehrs (Fergus), FreshCo (Fergus), and Mount Forest Family Health Team.
