Go For the Gold 4-H Club hosts meeting

The first meeting of the Centre Wellington Go For The Gold 4-H club was held on April 19.

We started out with our first game of Go For The Gold (which is like Jeopardy).Questions are asked by the leader and  to answer you press down on your buzzer and try to answer to the best of your ability.

Questions are based on 4-H clubs, farming, history, and the people who lead all the leaders and more! After we finished our game, we did elections, our president is Avery,  our vice president is Mary, our secretary is Marijka and our press reporter is Halen.

Once we finished elections, we started another game of Go For The Gold. In addition, we practised using our buzzers. That concludes meeting number one of the Centre Wellington 4-H Go For The Gold Club.

The Go for the Gold 4-H club second meeting was on April 26.

First we did the pledge led by our vice president Mary and then our press report which was read by Halen.

Then we read our secretary Marijkas’ report. After doing the reports we started a game of Go for the Gold (similar to the game Jeopardy) the teams where as follows Josh, Eric, Mary, and Amelia ,the other team had Marijka,Val and Halen. We  started out with snappers and assigned questions, who or what am I and more!  Afterwords we took a quick break and then played another game of Go for the Gold the teams were changed a little so there would be different abilities on each team. Once we finished our go for the gold game we played with the  buzzers, we tried to be the first ones to press the button when the leaders said go! Lastly we said the motto (Learn to do by doing) and the meeting was over. That finishes Go for the Gold meeting number two in Wellington County.

Our next meeting was set for May 2.
