Fill-A-Bus event supports Mount Forest Community Food Pantry
No Frills donation – Each year, Peter’s No Frills Mount Forest runs a “Give a Little, Help a Lot” fundraising campaign, through which customers can donate at the till in support of a community organization or charity. This summer, co-owners Peter Bacoyannis and Monica Szocinzki and their team at No Frills raised $5,256 in support of the Louise Marshall Hospital Foundation (LMHF) in the store’s most successful fundraising campaign to date. Busload for charity – HomeTown Boutique, Apparel and Gifts held its second annual Fill-A-Bus event on Aug. 26. Foodland Mount Forest collected donations at cash registers, bringing in $2,397, which store officials used to go shopping and fill more than eight carts. The Mount Forest Lions Club donated $500 and HomeTown Boutique collected $880 in cash, in addition to considerable donations of food, at a table set up outside the store.

“We want to thank Foodland Mount Forest, Cooks Bus Lines and the Mount Forest Lions Club,” organizers state.

All proceeds went to the Mount Forest Community Food Pantry. From left: Emma Jeffries and Kelly Dimick of HomeTown Boutique, with Foodland owner Kim Catalano and members of the Foodland staff.
