Ellis Chapel unveils 2015 summer program

Ellis Chapel volunteers have once again planted the flower beds, dusted off the pine pews and polished the gothic windows of historic Ellis Chapel in anticipation of the regular Sunday afternoon services during the summer months. The opening service on June 21 features the Harcourt United Church choir under the direction of Alison MacNeill.

Monthly services continue on July 19 with guest speaker Wayne Scheidel with instrumental music by John Hamilton and John Solberg;  Aug 16 with guest speaker Bill Shepherd with vocal group In Accord;  Sept. 20 with guest speaker Kees Vandermey with vocal solos by Julia Gray.

Each service begins at 2:30pm with a congregational hymn sing and is followed by refreshments and socializing in the garden.

And back by popular demand, two young energetic barbershop quartets who played to a full house last summer will again present a rousing concert in support of the work of the chapel – Yonge Guns Quartet and Shoptimus Prime Quartet. The concert takes place in the chapel on Sept. 18 at 7:30pm.

The chapel is located at 6705 Ellis Road, Puslinch Township. Directions at ellischapel.ca.
