Education session tackles grief dreams
Dreaming of a loved one after their death is very common, yet grief dreams are overlooked in academic literature, which can hinder support for the bereaved of all ages.
In an upcoming education session, Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region (BFO-MR) is hosting Joshua Black to shed some light and encourage dialogue on this often overlooked topic.
Joshua Black is a leading academic researcher in the field of dreams of the deceased.
He has focused all of his graduate work on investigating this topic.
He continues to publish scientific research in the field as he finishes his PhD at Brock University.
In his talk, Black will be sharing with participants the 10 things he has learned about grief dreams based on his experience and research.
The goal is that those who attend have a better understanding of the role dreams can have in processing their grief.
The workshop, 10 Things to Learn About Grief Dreams with Joshua Black is set for April 30 from 7 to 9pm at the Family Centre at 65 Hanson Avenue, room 2015 in Kitchener.
The event free but registration is required at www.bfomidwest.org.
