CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Oct. 3 at about 12:45pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 here.

Police say the officer observed an orange sedan that appeared to be travelling above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was allegedly clocked on radar at about 180km/h in an 80km/h zone.

Police stopped the vehicle and further investigation revealed the driver and a passenger were in possession of drug paraphernalia, a large quantity of cash, and methamphetamine and fentanyl.

Darrell McGregor, 55, of Owen Sound, was charged with dangerous driving and possession of meth.

Kayla Courage Rawn, 20, of Owen Sound, was charged with possession of fentanyl.

Both are to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 6.
