County councillors appointed to committees

Members of county council were elected and appointed to the standing committees, boards and associations at the Dec. 12 warden’s inaugural meeting.

The warden’s advisory committee will consist of chair Warden George Bridge and councillors David Anderson, Rob Black, Andy Lennox, Dennis Lever, Don McKay, Chris White, Lynda White and Gary Williamson.

The administration, finance and personnel committee will be chaired by Lever and include Bridge and councillors Lennox, Chris White and Allan Alls.

Chris White will chair the economic development committee, which also includes Bridge and councillors Doug Breen, Pierre Brianceau and Kelly Linton.

The information, heritage and seniors committee will be chaired by Black and include Bridge and councillors Anderson, Neil Driscoll and Shawn Watters.

Lennox will chair the planning and land division committee which includes Bridge and Alls, McKay and Watters.

The roads committee will be chaired by Williamson and include Bridge and Breen, Driscoll and Linton.

Anderson will chair the social services committee, which includes Bridge and councillors Black, Gregg Davidson and Lynda White

The solid waste services committee will be chaired by McKay and include Bridge and Brianceau, Davidson and Williamson.

Lynda White will be the councillor for the Wellington County police services board and was also appointed to the Groves Memorial Community Hospital Board.

Other appointments to boards, commissions and ad hoc committees include:

– Guelph Business Enterprise Centre: economic development officer Jana Reichert;

– Wellington County Plowmen’s Association; Lennox;

– Wellington Federation of Agriculture: Driscoll;

– accessibility advisory committee: Bridge, Brianceau and Linton;

– Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health: Bridge and councillors Lever and Chris White; and

– Wellington County safe communities committee: Davidson.
