Council approves names of future Kenilworth subdivision

Wellington North council approved the names of two streets in a future Kenilworth subdivision on April 9.

In a letter to council, developer James Coffey proposed two names - Parker Drive and Paula Crescent - for Maple Ridge Estates, a 19-lot development in Kenilworth.

The subdivision is a 20.9-acre lot is located beside and behind Kenilworth Public School.

Paula Crescent was proposed as a tribute to the late Paula Epoch, a Kenilworth resident and long-term municipal employee who passed away in January.

“I think it’s a fantastic tribute to Paula Epoch,” said councillor Steve McCabe.

“It’s a fantastic recommendation and I certainly support it,” added councillor Dan Yake.

Council passed the resolution unanimously. Councillor Sherry Burke was absent.
