In an article on page one of the July 3 issue of the Wellington Advertiser (Winegard: ‘We honour him today, the man from Guelph’; McCrae statue unveiled), it was stated that Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae was a “Second World War physician…” McCrae was actually a physician in the First World War. The Advertiser regrets the error.
