Christmas tree collection cancelled in some areas due to cold

Christmas tree pickup has been cancelled in some areas of the county due to frigid weather.

Wellington County officials have announced the Kinsmen Club collection on Jan. 6 in Fergus, Elora and Salem is cancelled. It will not be rescheduled.

There is no change to the Drayton and Moorefield Kinsmen Club Christmas tree collection. It will proceed as scheduled on Jan. 6. Trees should be set at the curb by 7am with donations to the food bank attached to the base of the tree.
