Catholic board selects new chair, vice chair

Trustees with the Wellington Catholic District School Board selected a new chair and vice-chair at the board’s inaugural meeting on Dec. 4.

Returning as chair is Marino Gazzola for his 15th year as the senior elected official for the Catholic School Board. Gazzola has served as a trustee since 1990.

“Our Catholic schools have provided an enduring example of academic excellence and service to others,” said Gazzola.

“I am grateful for the confidence and support of my fellow trustees and honoured to be able to continue to serve as chair…”

Vikki Dupuis was selected as vice-chair.

“Learning, well-being and innovative programming in an inclusive environment are priorities for our system,” she said.

“It is a privilege to serve in this way and I am committed to working … to ensure success for every student.”
