Brighten Up hosts sixth annual toy drive

Brighten Up in Erin is hosting Christmas events to give back to local families.

Brighten Up launched its sixth annual toy drive in partnership with East Wellington Community Services. The team will be collecting new unwrapped toys (or cash donations) for local youth, and can make suggestions for those most in need.

Upcoming events include:

- Nov. 26: Pictures with Santa, free of charge with a donation to the toy drive. Spaces fill quickly, call Brighten Up at 519-833-9258 to reserve a spot; and

- Dec. 2: Toy drive shopping day: 15 per cent off all sales for the entire day are reinvested into the toy drive.

“This is an opportunity to celebrate your family, your community and kick off your Christmas season with your local toy store,” says Chris Bailey, co-owner of Brighten Up.

“Plus you’re sure to leave with some very cool gift ideas to pass on to Santa this Christmas season.”
