Bowl for Kids fundraiser returns to in-person format for 2023

MOUNT FOREST – Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington’s largest fundraising event, Bowl for Kids Sake, is coming up soon.

This year, for the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the event will be held in person.

“We are finally able to hold an in-person event at the Mount Forest Bowling Centre,” organizers note.

“ We have three community days available: Feb. 5 (Minto-Mapleton), Feb. 26 (Mount Forest) and March 5 (Arthur-Alma).  You are welcome to come out and bowl on any of the three community days.”

To participate, simply get a team together and email Teri Dykeman at teri.dykeman@bigbrothersbigsisters.ca to book your day, time and lane.

Collect sponsors or give a corporate or family donation (pledge sheets are available at northwellington.bigbrothersbigsisters.ca under Bowl for Kids or email Dykeman to make arrangements).

Participants will bowl one game on the designated day and time at the Mount Forest Bowling Centre “and simply have fun all while supporting a great cause,” organizers state.

Participants also have a change to win donated prizes.

“Our very apropos theme this year is ‘Thankfulness’ for all of you who volunteer or support Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington,” states Dykeman.
