Better sleep for peri-menopausal women: a workshop for the general public

A special sleep workshop for mid-life women will be offered on Oct. 5 by the Stress Management and High Performance Clinic.

Poor sleep is the most common and severe symptom of peri-menopausal women.  They have more difficulty falling asleep, and their sleep may be disturbed by things like sleep disorders, poor health, hot flashes, anxiety, depression and worrying.

Workshop participants will learn practical, drug-free ways to improve sleep.  Included will be tips to decrease hot flashes, fall asleep (and back to sleep) more easily, and how to avoid the “big mistake” that robs many women of energizing sleep.

The workshop is on Oct. 5 from 7 to 9 pm in Room 335 University Centre at the University of Guelph.  The fee is $20.
