Bereaved Families looking for volunteers

Have you experienced the death of someone close to you and are in a place in your own grief journey where you could support other bereaved individuals?

Bereaved Families of Ontario - Midwestern Region provides peer support groups facilitated by trained volunteer facilitators who are also bereaved.

The group is currently recruiting volunteers for the spring facilitator training to facilitate the Living with Loss group in Mount Forest.

This comprehensive training prepares volunteers with a strong understanding of peer support, along with the skills and confidence to co-facilitate groups.

Time, care and compassion has a powerful and lasting impact on the families volunteers support and on their own grief journey, officials state.

The next facilitator training is being planned for April, dates to be announced.

The training will take place in Kitchener.
