WELLINGTON COUNTY – Officials with the county have announced they intend to end a local state of emergency at the end of the year.

Centre Wellington ratifies contracts with three employee groups
CENTRE WELLINGTON – Firefighters associations in Fergus and Elora, as well as the Centre Wellington Staff Association, have ratified new agreements with the township. The contracts, approved at a special council meeting on Nov. 8, include increases to wages, benefits and allowances.
Arthur man charged after hit-and-run crash
GUELPH – An Arthur man faces several charges after a hit-and-run collision here. "The collision caused significant damage to the two involved vehicles, one of which fled the scene," Guelph Police stated in a Nov. 4 press release.
