Arthur 150th celebration committee hosts volunteer “thank you” barbecue

Thanks, Arthur – A large Canadian flag is seen hanging behind local politicians and community members at a “thank you” barbecue on Aug. 30 to show appreciation for everyone who made the Arthur 150th celebration and Canada Day weekend a resounding success. The flag was donated at the weekend’s opening ceremonies by Wellington-Halton Hills MPP Ted Arnott.

“Good times were had by all: volunteers, participants, and sponsors,” stated Arthur 150 steering committee chair Faye Craig.

The Arthur Lions Club cooked up hamburgers, and Craig said bringing the community together for the barbecue “was a fun and much-appreciated way to wrap up a memorable event.”
