Annual community breakfast and “˜why community matters”™

Annually, National Volunteer Week held from April 15 to 21, seeks to appreciate the 12.7 million volunteers in Canada and bring awareness to the impact volunteers have across the country.

PIN, the People and Information Network, formerly the Volunteer Centre of Guelph Wellington, takes pride in hosting its annual “Time To Give” breakfast during National Volunteer Week.

A local celebration of volunteerism and community, “this event pays tribute to the contributions of volunteers to the well-being and vitality of our community,” said executive director Christine Oldfield.

“We are thrilled to welcome a local keynote speakers this year that will highlight ‘Why Community Matters’.”

PIN’s Volunteer Network, community information and nonprofit leadership pillars are the foundation of its work and will be highlighted through guest keynotes by Emma Rogers, recipient of the Guelph Mayor Awards 2017 and team member of the United Way of Guelph Wellington Dufferin; Faed Hendry, Findhelp Toronto and Peter Barrow, recipient of the Guelph Chamber Lifetime Achievement Award.

The breakfast is scheduled for April 19 from 7:30 to 9:30am at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Guelph Conference Centre.
