Parents and guardians are invited to an event where the kids become the experts, showcasing digital technologies used in the classroom.
The Upper Grand District School Board’s annual Digital Saturday will be held on Nov. 18 from 9 to 11:30am at Arbour Vista Public School at 200 McCann Street in Guelph.
The popular event is open to all parents/guardians and students in the UGDSB.
Parents/guardians will learn about the technology students are using in the classroom to support their learning.
Exploration
Through workshops and displays, Digital Saturday is a chance to explore and learn about:
– new technologies in UGDSB schools;
– coding in the classroom;
– makerspaces;
– virtual reality;
– homework help;
– assistive technology to support all learners;
– online digital resources for assisting student learning;
– parent engagement strategies for home use; and
– appropriate use of technology and digital citizenship.
