The Midwestern Region branch of the Bereaved Families of Ontario (BFO) is holding its first used book sale to raise money to expand its community lending library, which features resources for children, families and individuals who are grieving the death of a loved one.
“Open to the community as a grief and educational resource, our lending library offers literature on various topics and themes of grief and bereavement for the public to borrow and take home,” said Jaime Bickerton, BFO branch executive director in a press release.
“With new resources being published each year, proceeds from the book sale will go towards keeping our library updated with more current and relevant offerings for our members and community.”
BFO will be collecting used book donations for its sale until March 30 at its office at The Family Centre, located at 65 Hanson Avenue in Kitchener.
The book sale is being held in The Family Centre gym on April 1 from 1 to 6pm and April 2 from 10am to 4pm.
