On Dec. 1, Canadians and Wellington County residents will be reminded to take an active role in supporting local initiatives via GivingTuesday to launch the holiday season after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
To celebrate the power of collective giving to create positive local and global change, join Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph (HFHWDG) in its #Giving4Habitat initiative to raise $18,000 towards a local build and to join their pass it forward movement.
To walk the talk, HFHWDG dedicate 10% of its goal to the Habitat for Humanity University of Guelph Campus Chapter in support of its Global Village build in El Salvador in February 2016.
The ‘Giving 4 Habitat’ initiative is also to encourage people to pass it forward by inviting four friends, family and/or colleagues to support #Giving4Habitat.
The initiative is in effect until Dec. 7 to engage community members in #Giving4Habitat and on Dec. 1 from 9am to 5pm the public is welcome to stop-in for a warm drink and to learn more about #Giving4Habitat at all Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph ReStores.
There are three locations including 202 First St. in Mount Forest (519-415-4500); 300-104 Dawson Rd. in Guelph (519-767-9752 ext. 27) and 202 First St. in Orangeville (519-415-4500.)
