Registration for the Learning Disabilities Association of Wellington County’s Family Conference 2015 is now open.
The Oct. 24 event is set to take place from 8:30am to 4pm at St. Peter School in Guelph.
This event is intended for parents and caregivers of children with learning disabilities. The focus is providing parents with tools and strategies to aid them in supporting their children.
Example sessions include:
– disclosure of diagnosis;
– mental health needs;
– navigating the education system; and
– opportunity to share strategies with other parents.
The session will include a keynote speaker and choice of break-out sessions lead by inspiring professional speakers. Visit www.ldawc.ca for the full agenda and details.
When registering there will be an opportunity to select break-out sessions once the number of people attending is calculated.
