Two new videos to assist with education on using roundabouts were unveiled at the Sept. 24 Wellington County council meeting.
Fred Lehmann, senior communications officer, explained one video focuses on pedestrian and cyclist safety and the other on large-vehicle traffic.
Lehmann said the videos will be posted on the county’s website and YouTube channel, and though local schools and libraries.
“We’re working on making these videos as accessible as possible through the county,” said Lehmann.
Warden George Bridge said the videos help fulfill the county’s commitment to educate area residents on roundabout safety.
“Down the road were going to be seeing a lot more roundabouts so its good to get in front of it and I think this is going to be of great value,” said Bridge.
Roundabouts are already installed at locations Puslinch, Elora, Arthur and Mapleton, with plans for one on Wellington Road 109 near Harriston.
