The Volunteer Centre of Guelph/Wellington has wrapped up the 2015 ChangeTheWorld – Ontario Youth Volunteer Challenge.
The campaign was held from April 12 to May 24, and the Volunteer Centre says 916 youth volunteered a total of 5,193 hours in the region. This contributed to the wider provincial campaign, which also surpassed targets. In fact, province wide 42,000 youth volunteered a total of 225,000 hours in their communities.
ChangeTheWorld is a province-wide campaign for youth aged 14 to 18 years old.
It aims to inspire youth to volunteer through a wide variety of local initiatives aimed at making a difference in their communities.
The main goal is to get high school students from all across Ontario to volunteer.
