The Board of Directors of Hospice Wellington has announced that Rosslyn Bentley has tendered her resignation as executive director at Hospice Wellington, effective June 8.
“Rosslyn’s contributions during her five year tenure at Hospice Wellington have been significant,” remarked Susan Farrelly, chair on the board of directors. “This has helped to build the organization that Hospice Wellington is today. We congratulate Rosslyn, and wish her the very best in this next phase of her career.”
Bentley has accepted a position as executive director for the Credit Valley Family Health Team in Mississauga, and will be assisting in the implementation of palliative care services.
“I will always have a special place in my heart for this incredible organization and the work of Hospice Wellington staff and volunteers,” Bentley said. “And, of course, I have already promised to come back and sing carols in the residence on Christmas Day.”
Rosslyn’s last official day on duty as executive director will be the day of Hike For Hospice on June 7.
“I can’t think of a better venue than at our annual fundraising Hike-for-Hospice to celebrate Rosslyn’s contributions to Hospice Wellington and to palliative care in Guelph and Wellington County,” Farrelly said. “It will be her Hospice Wellington swan-song.”
All members of the community and beyond are invited to attend Hospice Wellington’s annual Hike for Hospice on June 7 at Ignatius Jesuit Centre on Highway 6 starting at 10am.
