Dr. Nadine Nyhus, who practices psychiatry in north Halton, will speak on June 9 (7 to 9pm) at the Acton Town Hall on the effects of trauma in early life.
The Journey of Healing from Trauma will be presented in very practical terms and Nyhus will be adding excerpts from her book How to Heal (mostly) Without a Therapist.
She will discuss overcoming trauma and feeling empowered in life. The event is sponsored by the Dr. John Dougan Centre for Mental Health Promotion.
