Radiothon raises $212,670 for kids

KidsAbility hosted its 10th annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon at Conestoga Mall on May 1.

Through the generosity of individuals and organizations in the community, $212,670 was raised for children and youth with special needs.

This year, the Radiothon had added significance as it marked the 10th straight year that George and Tara (cohosts on CHYM 96.7) shared stories of hope.

At the end of the broadcast, George gave a heartfelt farewell since it was to be his last Radiothon (due to his upcoming retirement).

In total, the Radiothon has made over $2 million.

“My thanks go out to the people who gave their time to making this year’s Radiothon a success,” said KidsAbility executive director Lisa Talbot. “Their dedication and support is truly inspiring. I’m looking forward to next year as we look to take this event to even greater heights.”
