Mountains of books at book depot March 20, 21

The Elora Festival Singers book depot is getting full, with books pouring in almost daily.

To make room for the annual spring surge, the festival is running a special March sale where it will sell gently-read, good-condition paperbacks and hard cover fiction for $2 or less.

The sale will be held at the Book Depot, 380 St. Andrew Street West (side entrance) on March 20 from 3 to 8pm and on March 21 from 10am to 2pm. Admission and parking are free.

As is true of the last 26 years, Elora Festival book volunteers are busy sorting and pricing thousands of books for the major event – the annual book sale fundraiser on May 1, 2 and 3 at the Elora Curling Club. Book lovers of all ages set aside the first weekend in May to stock up on gently-read adult and children’s books as well as DVDs, records, and games.

Browsing through approximately 60,000 donated items, readers can find reasonably priced books set out in well-labelled categories: classics, fiction, non-fiction, humour, art, crafts, history, spirituality, cooking, biography, travel, self-help, music and more. There is something for everyone.
