July 1 fun – Clockwise from top right: Near perfect weather resulted in large crowds for this year’s Dominion Day Parade in Elora, which was kicked off by clowns and featured entertainment throughout; the Elora Co-Op Preschool had a number of participants in the annual parade in downtown Elora; following the parade, the focus was on girls’ and boys’ Dominion Day Dash races in Elora’s Bissell Park; in the evening the Canada Day fun switched over to the Fergus Sportsplex grounds, where Isla and Jessica Wallace from Elmira, of the Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland Dance in Fergus, helped entertain the crowd; Alexia Adams-Buckton of Fergus was among the many taking in the games during the Fergus festivities.
