Local historical walking tours back by popular demand

Take a step back in time and let the past come alive as you meander the historical streets of downtown Elora and Fergus, led by two costumed characters from yesteryear.

The history of the settlement and growth of Elora and Fergus is extraordinary.

Discover the community’s rich and colourful past.

Creative artists, photographers, musicians, builders, architects and writers chronicled its emergence from a backwoods settlement to a natural and cultural destination in the province.

Guided Tours are offered for most of the major events such as Doors Open, Elora Horse & Hound Parade, Culture Days and Monster Month just to name a few.  Our “Fergus Tartan Day Tour” proved to be a huge success with a turnout of record numbers.

Tours meet at Elora Information Centre or at the Wellington County Library-Fergus Branch.
