Public health is asking residents to be aware that a drug store in Wellington County was robbed on Feb. 14.
Along with a number of items, 10 vials of the flu vaccine, Fluviral, were stolen.
The vaccine has no value as a street drug and may be discarded by whoever took it.
If anyone comes across discarded vials of flu vaccine contact Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health at 1-800-265-7293 so the vials can be disposed of properly.
If anyone has information about this robbery they are asked to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122, Guelph Wellington Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or WDG Public Health.
Public health is reminding all residents that they should only get the flu vaccine from a physician’s office, pharmacist or at a public health clinic.
