On Jan. 19 at 2pm the Venturi Winds will bring A New Year musical to the Wellington County Museum and Archives.
The concert will include the following: first a program of music from before 1800; the Prelude XV and Fugue XI from the Well-tempered Clavier by J.S. Bach arranged for winds by David Sale; Quintett for winds and piano; and K.V. 452 by Mozart.
Brad Moggach, organist at St. Peters Lutheran in Cambridge will join Venturi winds on the piano. This will be followed by a program of music from after 1900: La Cheminee du Roi Rene, Suite for Woodwind Quintet, by Darius Milhaud and the Fugue from Le Tombeau de Couperin, by Maurice Ravel.
This afternoon of live classic music is brought to the audience by the volunteer Gallery Music Group in co-operation with the museum, and all performances are donated by the artists.
