A Guelph-Eramosa man is part of a group waiting to claim a significant lottery prize.
Donald Ford is one of 15 people that won a $100,000 prize in the Nov. 16 Lottario draw.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) officials say that because two of the group members – Herb Garbutt of Georgetown and Riziero Vertolli of Mississauga – are related to an employee at an OLG retail location, the prize falls within OLG’s definition of an “insider win.”
The prize will be held for a 30-day waiting period and if there are no additional claims, it will be paid to the group on Feb. 7.
The winning ticket was purchased at Metro Millcroft Centre on Appleby Line in Burlington. The other members of the group are from Mississauga, Burlington, Waterdown and Oakville.
