Snider”™s new film will use locations in Harriston and area

Harriston native Chad Snider is planning to bring another film shoot to his hometown.

Snider, a Toronto Film School graduate, is producing and acting in The White Samurai, which he describes as “a noir film inspired by anime and Sin City.”

A portion of the filming will take place locally on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.

“I needed some picturesque locations and wanted to bring back the film industry to the hometown,” states Snider.

He says the film’s creator is an established artist and film student who has plans to premiere The White Samurai at next year’s FanExpo in Toronto and ComicCons all over North America.

Snider, used Harriston locations for his first film, A Done Deal, a semi-autobiographical account of his own battle with drug addiction.

He has formed his own production company, DB Films, and has five short films under his belt so far.
