Family and Children”™s Services hosts annual “˜Meet and Mingle”™

November is Adoption Awareness Month, and Family and Children’s Services is holding its annual Meet and Mingle on Nov. 20 from 10am to 12pm at the Family and Children’s Services office, on Wellington Road 7 in Elora.

A Meet and Mingle is held roughly three to four times a year, and this year is the second year such events have been held.

This year’s focus is on adoptive parents to show appreciation for the work these families do.

The annual Meet and Mingle is a casual get together that provides adoptive and foster parents with an opportunity to get to know each other, socialize and provide support to one another.

All adoption and foster parents are welcome to attend, as well as any community members who are interested in adoption or fostering.

“It’s a great opportunity for adoptive and foster parents to get together to support one another and have some fun,” said Jennifer Bulyaki, families to permanence worker.
