Mayor Lou Maieron still wants complete accounting of how the town water reserve fund was created.
On Sept. 3 Maieron questioned why the reserve has been reduced from $650,000 to $85,000.
He wanted a complete accounting of all withdrawals and whether this reserve was established to replace a well which was contaminated.
Maieron suggested part of the settlement regarding the well which was contaminated was that money be placed into a reserve so that when a new well was needed, the money would be available.
Maieron said if that was the intent perhaps the fund could be built back up.
The motion carried.
