The local Masonic Lodge is hosting a free public safety event on Sept. 7 from 10:30am to 3pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch here.
“The Masonic child identification program provides a valuable tool for parents or guardian of a child,” said Ken Thompson, event coordinator with St. Albans Masonic Lodge 200 in Mount Forest.
The program collects information about a child and is compatible with the Amber Alert program.
“Please bring any pertinent information, for example distinguishing marks, scars, emergency information and medications,” Thompson added. “This is a free public safety event sponsored by the Ontario Masons. The first two hours after a child has gone missing are the most critical.”
All information is returned to parents except the permission form.
