A new production will take the stage for Erin Theatre’s sixth annual holiday dinner theatre, held at David’s Restaurant this December.
Moved by the Spirit is a comedy written by local playwriter and actor Susanna Lamy, exclusively for the Erin Theatre to perform.
The play is directed by Kathryn Delory, featuring a cast of Fred Bilton, Harrison Carter, John Carter, Carrie Dodds, Susanna Lamy, Carol McCone-Day, Suzanne Rayfield, Denise Wakefield and Conrad Wheildon.
Moved by the Spirit depicts the unravelling of guests at an exclusive lodge, owned by Grace Beauclerc, where burnt-out corporate executives flock to pamper their bodies and enlighten their souls.
But the calm and serene atmosphere of Silver Springs Perpetual Bliss Retreat takes a turn for the hilarious when a pizza delivery man truly delivers with juicy gossip about the astonishing and sudden disappearance of a local family.
Guests indulge in an outrageously funny adventure of intrigue, innuendo and intimate secrets…. much to the chagrin of the rigidly relaxed retreat mistress.
Erin Theatre’s loyal following of Christmas revellers know that these delicious evening performances are the perfect way to celebrate the season and entertain co-workers, family and friends.
Performances are Dec. 5, 6, 7 and Dec. 12, 13, 14 beginning at 7pm, at David’s Restaurant at 20 Shamrock Road.
Tickets for dinner and a show are $39.95. Group rates are available.
