The demand for local food doesn’t end when the seasons change, so the Elora Farmers’ Market is taking their outdoor exhibitors back to the Paddock Building at Grand River Raceway for their third year.
Market vendors include the growers, makers and bakers who have made the market a success through the summer months, helping customers make a direct connection from the farm to the food on their plates.
There is more than just local food at the market, including producers and makers of crafts and spa items from alpaca wool products and woolen knitwear to lavender, much of which is also locally grown or harvested materials.
The tradition of live music, local food demos, activities for the kids and special events continue in the winter location.
The winter market runs from 9am to 1pm beginning Oct. 27, at the Paddock Building at Grand River Raceway, 7445 Wellington County Road 21.
Parking is free and there is plenty of free parking close to the door.
