The Linda Rondstadt Show coming to Fergus Grand

FERGUS – The Linda Ronstadt Show is coming to The Fergus Grand Theatre for a night of music, memories and storytelling, officials say.

This tribute plays like a rock concert and a musical rolled into one.

By combining live music and heartfelt storytelling with rare video footage of Ronstadt, performers will share her music and her powerful story, officials add.

The audience will hear Ronstadt’s timeless hits including Blue Bayou, You’re No Good, When Will I Be Loved and Long, Long Time.

Linda Ronstadt broke boundaries in rock, pop, country and beyond, officials say, selling over 100 million albums and collaborating with Dolly Parton, The Eagles and Neil Young.

But she gave up singing in 2011 when she revealed she had Parkinson’s disease.

That turned out to be a mis-diagnosis. She actually has a similar degenerative disease called progressive supranuclear palsy.

A portion of proceeds will go to Parkinson Canada, which  funds research, support and advocacy for Canadians living with Parkinson’s.

The show, starring Karen Coughlin backed by a band of Canadian musicians, takes the stage on Nov. 8 at 8pm.
