Girl followed by stranger

GUELPH – Police here are investigating after a teenaged girl reported being followed by a stranger who tried to talk to her last week. Guelph Police officials say that shortly before 7pm on Oct. 14, officers were called to an address near Victoria Road North and Brant Avenue. 

“A 15-year-old girl reported she was walking with a friend when they noticed a man who appeared to be following them. The man got closer and said he wanted to talk to them and made a disturbing comment,” police stated in a press release. “The girl ran home and called police and the man kept walking.”

Police described the suspect as a short Black man, aged 18 to 25, with full facial hair, “very large eyes” and an accent.
