FERGUS – Police are looking for help to identify two suspects who stole an ATV and other items from multiple units at Gartshore Storage.
Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to the business, located on Gartshore Street in Fergus, at about 10am on July 20.
Police say sometime between 5:30 and 6:15am, “two suspects broke into three storage units (and) … stole several items, including tires and an [ATV], before fleeing the scene in an unknown direction.
“The ATV was later located abandoned in a nearby field.”
The suspects, captured on video, were driving an older model grey Nissan X-Trail with Ontario license plate “CCHZ 325.”
Police say, “the plate is not registered to this vehicle,” which was “equipped with blue LED lights inside the rear hatchback door.”
The first suspect is described as a white man with brown hair and a thin build, wearing a black baseball hat with a white logo, black or dark-blue hoody, blue jeans, black gloves, and black and white Nike running shoes.
The second suspect is a white man with a thin build and short dark-brown hair, high cheek bones and possibly sporting a thin moustache.
He was wearing a dark baseball hat with a small white logo, a dark hoody with a large white logo on the front, dark-coloured jeans, black and white mechanic gloves, and black boots with orange soles.
