MINTO – The municipal office in Minto will be temporarily closing on Aug. 14 due to construction.
Minto clerk Annilene McRobb told the Advertiser the project involves work outside the building to improve drainage and to replace sidewalks and stairs.
“They’ll be digging up all around outside of the building,” McRobb said.
The timeline is weather dependent, but the project will likely take three to five weeks, she added.
There will be no access to the building, located at 5941 Highway 89 near Harriston, during construction.
Select staff will be working temporarily out of the LaunchIt Minto office, at 39 Elora St. S, Unit 2 in Harriston, states the town’s website.
Remaining staff will be working remotely and will be available to assist during regular business hours.
Minto officials did not respond by press time to questions about the project’s cost and who will be completing the work.
