GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A Montreal man has been charged after police used a GPS tracking device to locate and recover a vehicle stolen from outside Wellington County.
On June 28 at about 2:45pm, Wellington County OPP officers were informed about a stolen vehicle in the county by officials with a neighbouring police force.

“Due to this system, officers were able to attend the pin-point location and search the area for the stolen vehicle.”
Rodney Laroche, 20, of Montreal, was charged with possession of property obtained by crime (over $5,000), failing to comply with a release order, failing to comply with a probation order and two counts of driving while prohibited. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
