County farmers’ market boxes and trail return this summer

WELLINGTON COUNTY – The County of Wellington has announced the Farmers’ Market Box Series is back and has partnered with seven farmers’ markets in the county and Guelph.

Every two weeks, the Market Box Series features a collection of local food and seasonal goods from a different farmers’ market, highlighting the vendors and products of each location.

“Our farmers’ markets showcase the heart of our communities,” stated Wellington County Warden Chris White.

“The Market Box Series is a great way to experience the exceptional quality and variety of local food and products that we’re so proud of here in Wellington County.”

The first market box in early June focused on the Guelph Farmers’ Market. Six additional boxes will be available throughout the summer.

Also returning for 2025 is the Taste Real Farmers’ Market Trail.

Visitors can  pick up a market trail passport and collect stamps at participating market locations.

People can submit their completed passports to be entered to win one of three farmers’ market gift packs valued at $150 each.

Market Boxes are available for $59 each at wellington.ca/farmersmarket, with both home and delivery options available.
